Porthleven, 2024-2025

Working with a great local team, Charlotte has project managed the renovation of this family-built and much-loved, three bedroom bungalow has been up-graded into a modern, residential tenant-friendly house. Now the house is fully insulated, acoustically insulated with the adjoining neighbour, has new electrics throughout, a new water cylinder, has three new double-glazed windows at the back of the house, a solid wood floor, brand new open-plan kitchen/diner, brand new bathroom, ethernet cable for the study, new carpets in the bedrooms and sitting room, and wonderfully we kept the original fireplace. It has been painted internally and externally as well as having a new water mains pipe installed with stop taps and water meters beneath the new drive. We also rebuilt the wall that separates the garage and the side of the house. The garden has been separated with a raised bed made from railway sleepers.

This was a particularly special project because the owners inherited it from their uncle, who had built and lived in the house. They wanted to make it as futureproof as possible, with a view to extending into the loft in the future when they move in themselves.
